The implications of obesity and infant mortality in the United States and Norway are major negative issues. These problems that these countries face is health issues and the killing of infants who were either never born or had no chance to live because of the obesity and infant mortality. The United States has a trend of obesity that is continually rising. Many times these problems can be averted by a person just exercising or not paying attention of what is needed to have a baby.

The issues in the United States as far as obesity and infant mortality are continually on the rise as more and more people come into the world. “The United States ranks 29th worldwide, nearly seven out of one thousand babies die before their first birthday” (Daniel Denoon). The U.S has advanced over the years from 1960, but not as fast as other countries. The most common cause of infant mortality is “dehydration from diarrhea”(Wikipedia). Compared to some other countries, infants are considered alive once any sign of life is seen no matter what gestation period a woman is in.

The issue of obesity in the U.S is a rising problem every year. Each year when studies are done by different health companies and groups of medical doctors are done, the numbers continue to increase mainly in children. “The spread of the Obesity Epidemic in the United States,” a study done by many doctors found that people aged 18-29, had the most increase in obesity, also Hispanics had a bigger rise in obesity. Many people are not active enough in their daily lives and food is a comfort that is enjoyed far too often and not when it is needed.

The issue of infant mortality rate in Norway is decreasing every day. From 1960- 2009, a steady decline has been seen in Norway as far as IMR goes. Norway used to be the worst country in Europe as far as infant mortality, but has become a lot better and is not one of the top countries with the least amount of infant deaths....
