Q:- How/why do individuals from different cultures or regions differ in the occurrence of cardiac disease?How do regional differences in diet impact disease occurrence?

CARDIAC DISEASE

In the recent era cardiac disease is seemed to be the leading cause of death throughout the world especially in the developed countries. The World Health Organization reported that 16.7 million deaths in 2003 (29.2% of total global deaths) were recorded and the reason of these deaths was some form of cardiovascular disease. Though the rate of cardiac disease is highest in developed countries, developing countries are seeing an increase in the occurrence of cardiac disease, as well as a corresponding rise in the number of heart-related deaths. It is estimated by The World Health Organization that by 2010, cardiac disease will go beyond than that of AIDS as the leading cause of death in developing countries.

It is a matter for attention here is that , there is a greater rate of cardiac disease in the developing countries as compared to the developed countries, so this means that individual belonging from different cultures and regions the risk of cardiac disease will be different.There are following points which will support my argument;

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL TRANSITION

* The natural or normal deterioration of infectious and nutritional disorders (competing causes of death) this will further increasing the proportional burden due to cardiac disease...
