Roots are where you come from and routes are the paths that you will take in life. With having certain roots you will have certain opinions and feelings. With routes you will have a path that you are more likely to follow in a career or life as your everyday path. These two will have a way of showing how you and your family have an influence that most do not recognize.

Roots can be different for each person. Such as with family members that you live in different areas or your spouse may have different roots. You may react one way to a person being hurt and your other family members or spouse will react a different way. One may be calm and one may be very excited with guilt from not being able to help the person because they have a hard time dealing with family and friends being hurt. You may get great news and want to celebrate and others in the family my just say congratulations and go on about their day.

The routes that a person takes can mean how they find a path to follow. Routes can be that you are from California and your spouse is from Texas. He or she may be used to the hot weather and you are used to cool weather. Therefore, your spouse can work an outside job that does not bother him or her and you need to work in a climate controlled area. With routes being a path that a person will take it may surprise them in life as they realize that they are following the routes that are very different from friends and family.

In roots and routes, roots will be our guide to the routes that we take in life. Roots are what you’ve learned from your family such as parents, grandparents or a spouse. Routes will be a path that you will follow due to your upbringing or what you have learned from your spouse. Some examples can be that you like to eat fried chicken and your spouse likes to eat baked chicken. You may want to be a doctor and your spouse would like to be a farmer.
