The article is titled “At the forefront of stem cell research.” This was a business technology research article. It detailed information concerning stem cell research. The majority of the article depicted issues with the moral implications of this type of research. On one side of the argument, there are extremely religious and conservative people who believe that life should not be tampered with. Stem cell research along with embryonic research pushes the laws of natural life. On the other side of the argument, there are people who are looking for a healthier way of life. The research has allowed scientist to create life. They have even been able to isolate individual tissue genes for organ reproduction. This would allow thousands if not millions to receive a kidney, lung, or liver compatible when needed vs. waiting months before an acceptable donor came along. For business, this would mean medical office completely specializing in this field would become popular in a short amount of time. Transportation solely dedicated to transport of this product would need to be created as well as many other businesses to maintain the effective product dispersion.

The other part of the article describes the political issues. The U.S. supplies many of the scientific materials needed for research. Because there is much current strife with Iran and their increase in nuclear power in the world, attention and resources have been pulled away from other scientific researches. In addition many people here in the U.S. do not support the study of stem cell research and therefore do not offer support of any kind to the researchers. As a result some of the Iranian scientists have turned to the black market to gain the necessary materials.
