Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School Dist. 393 U.S. 503, 89 S. Ct. 733

This case is about how the schools principals of school prohibited the wearing of black armbands by students while on school grounds. The United States Supreme Court held that, in absence of demonstration where the arm bands have cause disruptions, or material interference with school activities or any showing that there was a disturbance or disorder on school premises when the students wore the arm band to show their disapproval of Vietnam. It concluded that the suspension of any student who refused to remove the arm band was an unconstitutional denial of student’s rights to express themselves.

Rinaldi v. Willison289 Ga.Ct. App. 87, 656 S.E.2d 231

The Plaintiff filed that the defendant owed money from a loan so he was suing the defendant for the money. The defendant counter-sued stating that the plaintiff owed him money. Both complaints were dismissed by the Superior Court on the base of fraud. Plaintiff appealed the decision making the defendant cross appeal it. The court of appeals said that the base of fraud could not hold and reversed the judgment.

Congress found and declared that older workers find themselves at a disadvantage in efforts to retain employment and regain employment once they have been displaced from jobs. The setting of arbitrary age limits may work to the disadvantage of an older person. Employers are going towards younger ages and the employment problem for older workers are gowning. The existences in industries are affecting commerce, of arbitrary discrimination in employment because of age burdens commerce and the free flow of goods. Therefore, the promotion of employment of older persons based on their ability rather than age, prohibit arbitrary age discrimination in employment and help employers and workers find ways to meet problems from rising in the future....
