BANGLADESH PERSPECTIVE RESERCH FOUNDATION (BPRF)

1. Introduction: The Seminar of 15 February at Sunamganj was held in the premises of Jameya Madania Arabia Madrasha at Peghuria, Sunamganj. The Seminar was attended by the senior students and all the teachers of the Madrasha. All the participants were very enthusiastic and attended the entire proceedings of the Seminar with much vigor and zeal. In all consideration, the Seminar was successful and served the purpose of BPRF.

2. Aim: The aim of the Seminar was to raise awareness among the Madrasha Students to play their due role towards the Society around them.

3. Topic: “Role of the Madrasha Students in Building Social Peace” – was the Topic of the Seminar.

4. Participants: A total of 100 students took part in the Seminar. The List of the Participants is appended below:

5. Resource Persons: Eminent Islamic Scholar and Cleric of the country, Principal of Jameya Emdadiya, Dhaka Mowlana M. Abu Taher (Peer Saheb), and Vice President of Jatiya Imam Samity Mowlana Shah Nazrul Islam attended the Seminar as the distinguished Resource Persons and made their Presentations.

7. Moderator: Mowlana Gazi Mohammad Sanaullah, Program Director of BPRF moderated the proceedings of the Seminar.

8. Excerpts from the Discussion:

A. : Traditionally, Madrasas are Islamic learning institutions, aimed at building a generation of Islamic scholars and leaders. The word ‘Madrasa’ means ‘center of learning’ in Arabic. They provide free religious education, boarding and lodging. For these reasons, they are essentially schools for the poor.
