He was a very known scientist, an inventor people called him “Master of lightning” few of the things that he has invented are: AC motor and transformer. Think of every motor in your house. You hair dryer, electrical tools, fans, electric car windows or mirrors basically most of the electrical devices we see or use every day are using some type of the ac motor that he has invented. He has statues, streets, an airport, a museum all dedicated to him. His name was Nikola Tesla. And he has fundamentally changed the world. Today I will talk to you about his life and his accomplishments from his early age until he died.

First I will talk about his early years of life his origin and education.

He was born in 1856 in a small town in today’s Croatia. His father Milutin, and his mother Djuka, were both Serbian. Tesla's mother was a hard working woman of many talents who created appliances to help with home and farm responsibilities. Tesla attributed all of his inventive instincts to his mother. He showed signs that he was a genius already in high school he was able perform integral calculus in his mind which prompted his teacher to think he was cheating. Tesla studied at the Polytechnic Institute in Graz, Austria and the University of Prague. Before going to America, Tesla joined Continental Edison Company in Paris where he designed dynamos. While in Strasbourg in 1883, he privately built a prototype of the induction motor and ran it successfully. Unable to interest anyone in Europe in promoting this radical device, Tesla accepted an offer to work for Thomas Edison in New York. Tesla always used to say that his childhood dream was to come to America to harness the power of Niagara Falls.

Now I will talk about his life and work in the US. He started out working for Tomas Edison.
