I recommend that we accept the Target Corporation as one of our internship partners. The company is solid and has a good financial report, is a great path for internships, and shows great promise for the future.
Great Financial Condition
Target is a very solid company, as evidenced by its continually growing sales revenue and by great amount of stores in United States Sales revenue, which was $43,917 million as recently as 2003, have grown to $69,865 million in 2012. Also, Target’s total revenue has grown 3.7%, net earnings have grown 0.3%, and diluted EPS has grown 7.0% in 2011. Target is expanding their grocery departments every year, as of January 28 2012, Co. had 1,763 stores in 49 states and the District of Columbia. As the success of expansion and the growth of revenues, the company is well positioned to remain strong.
