Kathy Small – Mom/44

Social Security is very scary at times to me. I have been told by the time I am ready to draw there may not be enough in for me to draw each month when I retire. So, too me that is really upsetting considering I am working while I am young and able to work and it may not be available for me. So, I ask where all this money is going.

Bruce Conder – Grandpa/73

I am 73 years old have worked my whole life since I was 16, I retired at 67, but started drawing when I was still working at 65. It was definitely nice to be able to draw early and still work, but know that I don’t work it is just not enough to live on. Most elderly people need numerous medicines, and after paying for them it don’t leave much to pay bills and buy groceries. If you choose to buy the prescription side it takes away and most people need all they can get. It is really sad.

Patty Small – Grandma/67

I retired in May of this year after working for a company for 33 1/2 years and I draw my social security plus retirement from the company and I find it somewhat hard at times to live. I am really worried about the younger generation coming up, because people have said there will be nothing left for them. You look forward to the day you can retire and enjoy life do the things you want, but I see more and more retirees going back to work as part time just for the extra. Cost of living keeps going up, but it seems social security or peoples pay doesn’t. I wished when I was younger I could have invested but normal everyday working people have to use everything they get just to stay afloat.
