Ans: P & G’s marketing failures in Japan and Poland because it transferred product and marketing strategy wholesale from the United States to those country(Japan, Poland) without modifying it to the tastes and preferences of local consumers.

Ans: I think that P&G should leave U.S centered way of doing business because they have faced loss in the case of disposable diapers and laundry detergents in Japan. P&G can take some strategic and organizational actions like they should consider local differences in consumer tastes and preferences for developing new product and new product development can be done outside the United states. Besides, P&G should recruit local researchers and professional for doing R&D and marketing plan for that country. Thus, P&G increase its sensitivity to national differences and their impact on the marketing mix.

So, the marketing strategies must be developed in a way that it will work in all consumers of all countries. Besides, P&G must analyses different consumer’s tastes and preferences for developing product and marketing strategies. Sometimes, product and marketing strategies may need some modifications.
