The purpose for this stock project was to keep track these stocks over a five week period. There was a budget that we had to keep limited, which was $10,000. Each week the stocks were observed to see if they have gain or loss. How many shares was purchase for each stock? How much was the value of the overall stocks? The stock date purchased was on November 19, 2012 to December 13, 2012.

The first stock that was purchased is called Carters. The ticker is CRI. Carter’s is a very well known company in 1865. They are the largest brand marketer of baby and children clothing in the U.S. They carry two brand name of clothing called Carter and Oshkosh. The reason for choosing Carter to research was to check to see if they really make money. I purchase $5.00 worth of share on November 19, 2012. The first week Carter wasn’t doing so well. The 5 week loss of $8.25, which is 3.1 % and the value, is $261.95.

The second stock that was purchased is Huggies Diaper. The ticker is KMB. The company marketer the disposable diaper is named Kimberly Clark. Huggie’s diaper is a very popular diaper brand for infants, toddler, and kids. Huggies has been around for the past 35 years. Huggie’s diaper has size newborn to size 6 in diapers. Huggies was tested in 1968 and then later was introduced to the public in 1978. In 1985, Huggies took leadership of the category for the first time, and have been the number one selling diaper in America since 1993. The diaper ranges $6.97 to $39.99. Personally, Huggies diaper is what I used for my kids. The reasons are because the quality, the texture, is so flexible to move around. The stock project for Huggies Diaper, $45 share were brought. Overall, I was really happy for the number and value for Huggies’s Diaper. Huggie’s Diaper gain $109.80, which is 2.9%, and value of $3,860.10.
