SHORT CRITICAL REFLECTION PAPER

After reading Chapters 6-7 and then critically thinking and reflecting on the information. Select three questions to answer. A minimum of 125-175 words per question, must be grammatically correct, and demonstrate through intelligent use of quotes, facts, and figures that I have learned from the assigned chapters.

1. How is searching in a specific database, such as the Ashford library, different from searching in Bing, Google, or Yahoo? Ashford library provides you with affordable, accessible, innovative, high-quality learning opportunities. The library also provides staff members to help assist in research, resources, and additional help if requested. The other sites only give you the information you request and you have to collect information without assistance. The library also provides you with the latest updated materials to make your research less complicated.

2. Is email dead for teenagers? I would have to say that I believe email is dead for teenagers because these days teens are on these sites and most rarely use the email. Teens are constantly conversating to each other through posts and comments. That actually want everyone to see what they write about to each other and this for some reason is hilarious to the teenagers. I don’t think they understand the meaning of being able to conversate in private without letting everyone know what you are talking about. “This is just another form of texting to teenagers”.

3. Social networks allow people to connect for a variety of reasons in a digital environment. You might join Linkedin to meet business contacts. MySpace to find a band member or Facebook to see pictures of old friends and meet new ones.
