1. Natural environment is a tremendous craze going on across America right now. Everyone and everything I seeking the organic foods, in which Panera Bread is very much part of. As stated in the article organic foods are very big within the company and Panera strive to provide its customer with these foods. I believe this aspect of the trends is very important to top management in the fact of being able to forecast and give customers what they want. This trend has great affects on the future and what else customers may seek so top management can use this knowledge to build on their menus and continue the success that they have started.

2. Stakeholders are anyone who has stake in the organization or anyone who is affected by the organization such as customers, employees, society and shareholders. Some potential conflicts that may occur between Panera and its stakeholders may be change and adjustments that could completely change Panera Bread and what they offer. The article talks a lot bout how Panera tries to adjust to long-term trends that they forecast but this holds a risk of them changing something drastic within the company that may not please current stakeholders.

3. One of Paneras major competitive advantages is the Wi-Fi Internet access that they provide to its customers. It provide the company with a welcoming atmosphere and make customers feel as if the can stay as long as they wish. Also Panera provide non-trans fat foods, which is very appealing to the current dietary trends right now. Also with they kids menu the have given healthy choices so parents can feel good about bring their kids there as well. I believe that these competitive advantages are sustainable but I also believe that to keep its competitive edge and to maintain their success other advantages will need to come into play.
