RIZAL: A MAN WITH EXTRAORDINARY TALENTS

Once, there was a clever little boy named Jose P. Rizal;

also known by his family and friends as “Pepe”.

This little boy predicted that one day

people will build a statue of his image and people will come to honor him.

His prediction indeed came true.

Jose P. Rizal, is now our National Hero.

Rizal, an epitome of a great hero.

He unveiled the covered eyes of many Filipinos

through his magnificent and brilliant writings.

He is a real genius; full of extraordinary talents.

Among his contemporaries, he is the best.

He is the well-spring of literature during his time.

His works of art are really amazing.

His powerful pen and fine writing paper

Served as his primary weapon

To attack the prevailing cruelty of the Spaniards.

His two immortal novels-

Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo;

the product of his high intellectual capacity

and the product of his patriotism and nationalism

opened the eyes of many Filipinos to see the reality.

Many Filipinos were enlightened

upon reading his two novels.

His martyrdom triggered the sense of

nationalism in the hearts of his fellowmen.

Rizal sacrificed his own life to save our motherland

from the hands of oppressors.

He dedicated his life whole-heartedly

to lift our country from the abyss of emptiness and tragedy.

He faced everything; even death without any reluctance.

He is a man full of hope

and still believe that there is

a brighter life ahead after a cruel storm.

His works and writings are really worth reminiscing.

Writings that must be passed on to the succeeding generations.

We cannot probably have another Jose P. Rizal.

But what we have are his immortal principles in life

That would guide us

As we go on with our lives.

As we embark the difficult path toward progress.

Jose Rizal is our national hero but he is not a demi-god as most historians would depict him.
