Skepticism in philosophical terms states that true knowledge, or knowledge in a particular area, cannot be certain. Whether one is on one side of the argument or the other, we still attempt to find true, justified knowledge. Skepticism is usually associated with having some form of doubt about something or someone. For instance, one could be skeptic about a certain food brand, and not choose that brand so that the person wouldn’t have to deal with difficulties, such as allergic reactions. However, being skeptical could very easily be a downfall as well; for a severely skeptical person could miss out on potential growing or learning experiences as a person, and have the potential to wind up regretting most of their safe decisions in life. But what are the major points of being for or against skepticism; and what would a person be more suitable living their life as?

People who fall under the skeptical category, of course, tend to believe that true knowledge cannot be certain in the world that we live in; and an argument that is used often for these people is within the subject realm of God. If true knowledge can never be certain, then how could God, who is omnipotent and knows all, be true? Additionally, since He cannot even be seen, how can we know that He exists? But, at the same time, this theory can still fall; even if these people knew that God did exist, would they want to change their familiarity and current belief systems for God?

However, for those who are not so skeptical believe that true knowledge can be obtained, in certain aspects. These people are those who would consider something such as the Death of Jesus to be a valid argument. While some may speculate whether or not he is the Son of God, nobody can deny that he was killed under Pontius Pilate, and tortured on his own crucifix. But, there again, if he weren’t the Son of God, then why would you be spending this amount of time attempting to understand why some random person was killed thousands...
