Week 7 Checkpoint

After reviewing chapter 13 of Human Resource Management: Acquiring and Building Employee’s Skills and Capabilities; I have reached the conclusion that the best way to improve the management of human resource is to:

* First I would start by improving employee’s skills. By improving employee skills would be very beneficial to any company. Training is important as an employer I want to boost character, commitment, competence, and team player qualities in my employees. I think training sessions that teaches good reinforcement, involves role playing, on-the-job training, real-life simulations and experiential train and welcomes feedback from the trainees are most effective.

* I like how there is employee recognition in place where they have a special parking spot for them and picture up. The employee is recognized for that week or month for his or her high quality of work. Recognizing your best employees will give other employees the incentive to produce quality work.

* I also believe that incentives for being great sales people or have very good customer feedback than you should receive something from the company to so we appreciate your hard work and dedication to their work. At my previous job we received quarterly incentives for top sales person and if we met the previous year’s sales or beat them.

The two areas that I selected are labor relations, and Pay and Benefits. Labor relations plays a key role within a company. I do believe that by setting good incentives and good relationships with my employees than it will be a company where employees will want to stay working for and be dedicated on working hard for the company. Pay and Benefits also helps making employees want to work for a company when they can make sure they have no insurance and retirement offered by employers.
