INTRODUCTION

Angels and Holy Spirit are the two very Godly terms used in the Bible. They may be some how similar, thus they very different.

PART ONE

ANGELS

“And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;” – (Genesis 19:1)

In the Bible, both the Old Testament and New Testament speak of the term angel. In Genesis 19:1, the angels are even figure to Sodom, which indicates that angels can appear to look like human without actually having flesh and body. The term angel is translated as “messenger”, from the Hebrew word “malach” (Rabbi, M. G., 2012). God created angels to serve as a messenger to the world, deliver God’s words and commands to human. Consequently, angels are more mighty, holy, and wiser than sinful human. In spite of that, angels are not to be worshiped like God. In a spiritual view of angel by Mary Baker Eddy, “Angels. God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect; the inspiration of goodness, purity, and immortality, counteracting all evil, sensuality, and mortality.” (A spiritual view of angel, 1982).

The angels are the image of God, as how human were originally created at the time of Adam and Eve, in Genesis 3:1-24. Angels are the figure that we can see ourselves becoming when we go to heaven, free of sin. Only that we are going to be eternal, in the presence of God forever. The different between human and angel is that human is sinful where as angel is pure and perfect.
