After fully reading the case of delayed on the tarmac and trying to analyze what the issue was, I realized that in order for the way the business is currently being run to change completely, there are going to have to be big decisions made by the personnel in the upper echelons of the industry. These decisions will more than likely based off of the person who is making the decisions moral compass or the way he or she feels about the situation. As we learned from our reading there is a lot that has to be considered when it comes to morals on a business decision for example; Understanding that moral standards differ among individuals, moral problems in businesses are complex and difficult to resolve and being able to balance the two. For this particular case the decision on whether or not there will be a time limit put in place that will determine how long is too long for passengers to sit on a plane in the case of a delay will solely depend on how the person making the decision feels about the situation. Someone who is more sympathetic and realistic will more than likely decide a shorter time, whereas someone who is not looking at it from the passengers point of view may see no harm in the extended wait time, because that person may be thinking more about the convenience of the company rather than the customer service being provided to the passengers. This is where moral play a big part in the decision completely simply because, the person who cares more about the customer service of the passengers will be more successful in the future because passenger will come back, whereas the person who cares more about the company will suffer from the loss of customers. In this particular case this is the complete moral problem being presented.
