My Current Beliefs About Children and Learning | My Future Teaching Practices That Reflect My Current Beliefs |

Gardner: Linguistic Intelligence, Gardner and I believe children should be able to learn and understand words and use them effectively and verbally (Estes & Krogh, 2012, pg.3.2). | My classroom will have a Linguistic area that includes word games, many books, dictionaries, a picture file, and an abundance of teacher packets which contains manipulative and activities in the areas of spelling, comprehension and phonology (Armstrong, 1994). |

Gardner: Musical Intelligence, Gardner and I believe every child should learn and develop the knowledge on how to express things musically and rhythmically, to perceive and appreciate music, and to possess sensitivity to pitch, melody, and tone (Estes, & Krogh, 2012, Pg. 3.2). | My classroom will have a music area that will be filled with DVD’s and CD’s, DVD and CD player and a keyboard where children can play familiar songs, compose on music paper (Armstrong, 1994). |

Gardner: Logical-Mathematical Intelligence, Gardner and I believe every child should learn and develop the capacity to use numbers effectively, recognize patterns and relationships, and reason logically (Estes, & Krogh, 2012, pg. 3.2). | My classroom will have materials for science experiments, math manipulative materials, Legos, gears, and teacher-made packets with activities relating to math and science concepts (Armstrong, 1994). |
