COURSE DESCRIPTION
Examination of management contexts, skills, roles and structures, focusing on the changing nature of management in response to turbulent internal and external environments; various theories are integrated into applied dimensions of successful business practices; emphasis on global management perspectives.
EXPECTED COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of the course students will be able to; -
• Identify and describe the importance of management processes, structure, and functions.
• Apply to management concepts and theories in the contemporary environment.
• Display an appreciation of changes in trends and practices of management principals.
• Apply management principles in a global environment.
Week 1: Overview of Management Practices

To introduce the learner to basic issues in management
By the end of the week the student should be able to:
a) Define management and clearly outline its scope.
