When addressing the audience there are several issues to consider about the roles of different audience members. Every audience consists of members who come from different backgrounds ( Cheesebro, O’Connor, & Rios,  2010). What is acceptable in some cultures could be offensive in other cultures. When addressing the audience it is important to keep the audience involved so they do not lose interest in the presentation that they are listening to (Cheesebro, O’Connor, & Rios, 2010).

The miner’s families need specific details of what is going on, like on august 5, 2010 33 workers of the San Jose mine are trapped 300 meters below the surface ( Cheesebro, O’Connor, & Rios,  2010). First they should know the status of their loved ones health. The families need to knowhow the mining company plans on rescuing their family members. The families deserve to know information that the owners of the mine probably did not the public to know. Like the same mine was shut down in march 2007 because of a fatal accident that occurred in January 2007, and reopened the mine for business one year later ( Cheesebro, O’Connor, & Rios,  2010).

The employees of the company need to be reassured that the company will take steps necessary to prevent this type of incident from recurring. The employees need to know what local organizations such as the federation of Chilean mining workers (FMC), and the confederation of copper workers (CTC) plan on doing to ensure the company followed the proper safety guidelines ( Cheesebro, O’Connor, & Rios,  2010).
