From the book and power point that i read, i tend to believe that literature is a term which can be used to describe written or spoken material, especially this term is most commonly used to refer to works of the creative imagination, including works of poetry, drama, fiction, and nonfiction.

In my point, i think the word "literary canon" stands for a body of aesthetically valued literary work that reflects the cultural and political views of a country or group of people.

When talking about the read and think critically, i would like to say that think critically mean that a kind of ability to think clearly and rationally. It includes the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking, and it is essential to people who like to think about the literary work, so it is pretty useful for us to read.

In my opinion, i do agree with that every good literary work should be having its own historical background whcih can indicate the events which happened in the past, it can also help us easy to understand the author's thinking and situation that time, so i think that it is important to consider the historical period in which a work was written.

As far as i know, fiction is more likely to be a complicated term which has many layers of meanings, also it refers to literature consisting of invented narrative, especially the novel and short story. and fiction also reflets the people's social life through the complete story narrative.

There are seven methods of fiction, they are tone, plot, characterization,s etting, point of view, irony, theme respectively.

Definition tone: It can be defined as an author's implicit attitude toward the characters, places, and events in the story and toward the reader of work.

plot: the plot or the arrangement of a connected sequence of narrative events, can be simply stated.
