Risks

Risk 1: Signing another two year contract with AT&T and not switching to Verizon

I put this as a risk because every time I sign a two year contract there are hundreds or even thousands of times I curse the name AT&T and swear that I am switching to Verizon the second that my contract is up. One of the many problems with that is I have read that they are pretty much all the same and you just have to choose the lesser of two evils.

One way to control some of the problems that I have with AT&T would be to pay closer attention to the bill. I need to make sure all of the charges on there are mine and not get charged for three months for something that I never even authorized. I could try asking them if there was a way to block any charges to my bill without my permission. As far as the activation fee, I read that if I threaten to change carriers that they might wave that fee so I think that is worth a shot. A solution for the lack of cell service in my house could be to ask AT&T for a microcell wireless signal booster. I was told that a lot of people in my neighborhood have them, I guess my street is called hidden valley for a reason.
