Facebook Seeks Simplicity in Social Advertising

Summary:

Facebook gets 85% of revenue through advertisement. Due to competition with other social websites and mobile industry, Facebook administration considers advertisers complain of ad buying process which was too complicated. By giving them different choices of ads formats to make it easy and understand for advertisers. Advertisers select best ad formats by seeing his goal and targeted customer. Ad formats create uniformity in advertisement which increases company’s ad revenue up to 5.61 $ billion in this year.

Opinion:

In my opinion, this step of Facebook administration helps him to become a largest company of advertisement in social media. These changes are necessary, because due to advancement in technology now there are different social websites. People use these in their daily life. These social websites also use advertisements. The ad buying process of Facebook is very complicated. So if Facebook administration does not change it then may be advertisers will go for another media like mobile marketing or other social websites like twitter or tumbler. Considering all this Facebook simplify its process by giving different choices to advertiser by using different ad plate forms. So it’s easy for advertisers that what ad format he wants to use by seeing his goal. Targeting right customer is also very important for advertiser because selection of ad format is based on these two facts. By doing these steps Facebook increases its revenue more than any other search engine. Advertisers also use it for their advertisement because of its easy process and increasing customer value. It’s a smart move from Facebook by changing its complicating process of ad buying and changes it as advertisers want.
