Opening Skit- End of the Year Show

Cast: Raven, Chental, Beatrice, Dominique

(Chental walks out sad talking to her friend raven)

Chental: I can’t believe I didn’t make it. I was too sure that I was at least going to make it to the final selections. I might as well give up. I will never have an acting career. I just need some help, somebody to guide me.

Raven: I would help you, but what do I know.

Chental: How does this sound, “Darnel I know you anit cheating on me with her”

Raven: (As she begins to talk, Dominique comes in singing her song (walking with her friend Beatrice) that sound great to me.

Dominique: (Sings her verse then)

Beatrice: Girl you sure know how to sing.

Dominique: I try, (to Chental) what’s wrong girl.

Chental: Don’t you know the auditions downtown for that new Tyler Perry play?

Dominique: Yeah, what about it.

Chental: Well I didn’t even get to through the first round. I think ima just give up.

Dominique: Listen, god gave you that talent. God gave you that gift. Don’t just throw it away. He gave it to you because he knows that you are destined for greatness.

Raven: I told her that.

Beatrice: (to Chental) Have you heard her sing, (to Dominique) you should tell her about that program you’re in. Isn’t it A.S.E.

Dominique: Ah yeah, Artist Skills Enhancement

Chental: What’s that?

Dominique: It’s a musical and theatrical group at school girl. I go there for my singing but they teach dancing, poetry, and acting too. You should really come with me tomorrow. It’s a great program.

Chental: (thinking) that sound like a plan
