1. How do I assess myself as a leader, measured against the Lasallian core values of faith, zeal, and communion in mission?

As a leader I believe that I possess the Lasallian core values of faith, zeal and communion in mission in various ways. Working in BSP employs a great responsibility to be able to perform our task well in the organization. And in its pursuit to be a truly world-class central monetary authority and a catalyst for a globally competitive economy and financial system, we, as BSPers, commit and fully dedicate ourselves to be of great service to the Filipino.

Belonging to the department that is responsible for the continuous prudential supervision of the supervised financial institutions, mainly the large and universal banks, I make sure that accuracy in delivering reports is strictly performed not only that I provide service for the BSP but also to the public, the Filipinos, who entrust their hard-earned money to all these financial institutions. I also work hand-in-hand and with collaboration with our bank examiners who do the off-site supervision making sure that these FIs comply with the rules and regulations set by BSP to prevent their total closure/liquidation for not only the stockholders are to be affected but also the other stakeholders (i.e., the employees who render service for them, the clients and customers, other banking and financing institutions and the common public). Zeal comes in with my desire and quest for excellence and continuous self-improvement in the performance of my responsibilities and all of these contribute to the success of BSP in attaining its vision and mission. On the other hand, faith comes in whenever certain major decisions are to be done in the performance of my duties and is reflective of my non-biased judgment and evaluation of the reports that I submit to the management.
