Humble Chimpanzee who secretly attends a masquerade

There is a chimpanzee named Burt who used to live in the Philadelphia zoo, Burt was much smarter than other chimps and most of his caretakers, however he did not like to flaunt his intelligence. Burt's curiosity of the world outside the zoo was both invigorating and frightening to him. He has found a hole in the fence that contains him and has been aware of it for weeks now, tonight is the night he finally breaks free of his confinement.

Burt managed to escape the zoo and started roaming the streets and alleyways of Philadelphia, while he was wandering around he managed to find a human who understood his intelligence and was able to communicate with him, this was the only human who has ever been able to communicate with Burt. Burt and this human became best friends and Burt chose to live with the human. One night while Burt and the human were out on the street Burt noticed a huge building with bright lights and people dancing with strange masks on, Burt watched from the outside windows of this building with envy. Burt tried walking in the door and the doorman told Burt's friend, the human that pets weren't allowed in the masquerade. So Burt and his friend returned home, later on that night Burt pleaded with his best friend to make him look like a human and dress him up like the people in the masquerade, after some time the human agreed. Burt returned to the masquerade with a fancy new tuxedo, a brightly colored mask and a top hat. The doorman let Burt through without question, when Burt was in the building he blended right in and no one payed him any attention, so Burt humbly sat in a chair and ate all of the food at the masquerade. After awhile of sitting around Burt noticed another chimpanzee at the party and could tell she was a female, Burt knew that this was the perfect dancing partner if she would agree to dance. So Burt eventually gained the courage to ask her to dance as any chimpanzee would ask another...
