A person I have in mind for my organizational behavior hero was a supervisor I had when I worked at the United Way of Southwest Michigan last year. Her name was Rachel and she is one of the most outgoing but professional person I know. I would have to say that her most outstanding behavior would have to be her ability with public speaking. She can get in front a crowd of 200 plus and make it seem like only you and her are having the conversation. She has also helped me overcome a lot of my fears as an entry level employee at the organization. When I first started working there she helped me by pushing me into doing the things I was afraid of, things like talking on the phone with other organizations and doing small presentations to kind of alleviate some of the nervousness associated with public speaking so I would be ready in the future if I needed to address a larger crowd.

I think my OB skill that I need to work on most would have to be my ability to public speak. Although my former supervisor Rachel helped me break out of my shell, there is always a lot of room for improvement. What I really need to realize most it that your audience is not looking to criticize you but to really just gather the information you are displaying to them. I feel like once I truly understand that, I will be able to calm my nerves and deliver a decent presentation.
