Nokia is a world leader in mobile communications, driving the growth and sustainability of the broader mobility market. Nokia connects people to each other and the information that matters to them with easy-to-use and innovative products like mobile phones, devices and solutions for imaging, games, media and businesses. Nokia provides equipment, solutions and services to network operators and corporations. Nokia is the leading mobile phone manufacturer. It has held the most market share since 1998. In 2003, Nokia maintained 34% share of the market ahead of such competitors as Motorola (14%), Samsung (11%), Siemens (8%), and Sony Ericsson (5%). But now it is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain growth in a market that has the potential for market saturation, and is overrun with competitors.

Nokia corporation is a Finnish multinational corporation with it’s headquartering in Keilaniemi (Finland). Nokia is the leading manufacturer of mobile devices and in assembling Internet and communication industries all over the world. It consists of 13,000 employees across 120 countries and market sales in more than 150 countries which accounts for global revenue around 42 billion and profit of 2 billion in the year 2010. Its the largest manufacturer of mobile phones with 31% of the market share. Nokia manufacture’s mobile devices for every preeminent market segment and protocols, which includes GSM, CDMA and W-CDMA services. With the help of its OVI platform it offers internet services like games, media, applications, messaging etc. The Telecommunication network solution, equipment and service are provided by its subsidiary named as Nokia Siemens Network. And also provides navigation services by it fully owned subsidiary Navteq.
