Integrate Existing Variety of HR tools into single application

Riordan Manufacturing wants to take advantage of a more sophisticated, state of the art IT system for their human resources department. To make sure Riordan gets exactly what it wants, a detailed and through investigation needs to be conducted. The team should start by examining the current system that Riordan is using. To make sure that Riordan is provided the best possible solutions for their needs, the team needs to ask the right questions so that the information provided by Riordan and its employees will guide in the creation process for a system that will meet their current and future needs.

To be able to fully understand the needs of Riordan we have to ask the key stakeholders what they envision the new system to be like, this will insure that we have the proper information gathered to ensure the success of the project. The following key stake holders are the people who have the information that will help in knowing what the exact requirements of the new system is and what they expect to happen and when they expect the project to be complete. These key stakeholders are:

1. Dr. Michael Riordan, President and CEO

2. Hugh McCauley. COO, also the requestor

3. Yvonne McMillan, Director of Human Resources

4. H.R. Employees under Yvonne who will be using the system extensively.

In order to decide on the information gathering techniques and design methods that we will use for the project the business needs and current technical resources need to be defined. To do this we look at the current system, which was installed in 1992 and runs independently from its branch offices.
