PASCUAL LABORATORIES, INCORPORATED

My reaction on the said CSR article will be anchored on five (5) topics, namely: Christian values; the mission statement and five (5) values of the corporation; employee’s welfare; relationship with the government; and corporate social responsibility.

Christian values

Pascual Laboratories, Inc. (PLI) started as a simple family business with Christian values at the center of its operations. From the onset, it was elaborated that the founders exhibited their desire to do something for the common good. Even if the founders of the PLI are not of the same religion, they share the same belief of “loving their neighbors.” As they are just starting to gain some ground on the business and sometimes experiencing hardships to survive, they have already been helping other people.

I think that they did a practical thing of helping first their relatives before going any farther. Instead of looking for some other beneficiaries of the help that they can offer, it is good that the founders chose help those who are close to their hearts first, who are also in need. In addition, I always believe that people who really want to help need not have all the luxuries in the world before they can do so. Blessings can be shared, no matter how simple or little they are.

The mission statement and the five (5) values

The mission, vision and values statement serves as the guide for the organizations in the way they conduct business. In the case of PLI, the way the company runs is depicted in its mission and values statement. The mission statement of PLI is very simple yet very powerful. Contained in it are: the direction which the company wants to go, which is global; the desire to provide quality products for the consumers; and the passion to ensure a fair return to its stakeholders.
