“Foundational to the Christian faith is the belief that God is actively involved with His creation”. This statement is proven all throughout God’s Word. We can really see this through His divinity and sovereignty. God is the one who holds all of us and the world together, and without Him we would all perish. God has done so much for us, and it is important for us, as Christians, to bring Him back all the glory that He deserves from us.

In Genesis 3:23 we read, “Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done” (NIV). This may have been the end of His creation here on earth, but in other passages it is clear that He is still active and preserving His creation today. God is always here around us, He is the one that holds us and everything together. Another passage, Matthew 28:18-20 says, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (NIV). Jesus is the ruler of both heaven and earth, therefore we should follow Him and bring Him all the glory in everything we do here on earth. In our daily lives, whether we are in our homes, whether we are out and about, and even in our given vocation, we should be

living our lives in order to bring glory to God. Colossians 3:17 tells us, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (NIV). If God was not still actively involved with His creation, everything would perish. In Job 34:14-15 we read, “If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath, all humanity would perish together and mankind would return to dust” (NIV).
