Affects of Technology.

Technology has changed the advances of how business is operated and has also affected the ways people communicate with each other. This is true since the introduction of the internet, instant messaging, email, etc into the workplace.

The business environment has moved to a global environment due the fact that linking information systems is useful and most organisations have figured out how to use it and gain a competitive advantage. As a result some issues have arised that organisations must pay attention to the combination of technology into businesses has impacted areas of diversity, ethics and organizational structure.

Here are some ways these five areas have been affected by technology:

* Diversity

Technology advances such as e-mail, instant messaging, and online conferencing have increased in use and this affects the way people interact with each other. Today's professionals often communicate globally and far outside their local border, this is all possible thanks to technology.

The global atmosphere is now presented with new business opportunities, such as outsourcing, making international business deals, exposing themselves to a larger customer base and employees do not even necessarily need to live in the same country as their employers and higher bosses.

Since people across the globe can be working together daily, technology can be direct or indirect attribute to diversity issues arised. Organizations must try to understand and relate to all their employees and customers, and employees must need to have tolerance for cultural differences and norms with one another.
