Supersize Me

Throughout the film there were many diseases noted to have relation to obesity in this film such as; Hyperglycemia, gout, kidney stones, fatty liver, kidney disease, liver disease, and heart disease. With Heart disease being the leading cause of death in America I chose to highlight this. “Every 33 seconds someone in the United States dies from cardiovascular disease, which is roughly the equivalent of a September 11th-like tragedy repeating itself every 24 hours, 365 days a year.”(1) Eating fast food increases your chance of contributing to these statistics. Two girls suing McDonald’s for becoming obese sparked his interest.

Before performing his experiment Morgan was examined by three different Doctors. All doctors classified Morgan as being healthy and within normal ranges of everything. Morgan weighed in at 185 with a body fat at 11% and cholesterol at 168.

While shopping at Wal-Mart, I needed something quick to eat to get myself through the store and home. After downing the double cheese burger, it went straight through me, literally. I’ve never been back to either...
