3. Summarize the differences and similarities between a Warning Line and a Controlled Access Zone.

Warning lines erect around all sides of a roofing area. Control access zones are designated areas where certain work goes on, they are used to keep out un-authorized workers. They are similar due to the use of ropes, wires, chains or support stanchions when making the perimeter of the work area.

4. Identify some of the difficulties in establishing a safety net system.

The difficulties in establishing a safety net system is that the clearance underneath must be accurate, the extension of the net must be right as well, and the net must be free from obstruction. The net must also be certified by certified personnel who come out to inspect the net to ensure there are no defects.

5. List the conditions which dictate that fall protection is required on a scaffold.

According to 1925.500 OSHA clarifies an employer must provide fall protection for employees, such as identifying and going over fall hazards and getting the proper training. They must provide the protection for scaffolds.
