This is the memorandum regarding the Henderson Basketball Court Redevelopment Project and the proposed budget for this project. This project will take approximately 96 days to complete, or about 3 months. Upon approval, the design and planning phase will begin on Monday, June 20, 2014. The actual construction of the project will begin on Tuesday, July 20, 2014. Actual construction should take approximately 49 day with a completion date of Friday, Oct 12, 2014. The project will be ready for turnover and use of the facility will be available on the week of July 22nd. The total cost of this project will be well under the $200k budget that was previously budgeted by the Henderson Recreation Department.

After further inspection of the basketball court, it is determined that the basketball court is very unsafe and is not usable by the general public. The foundation is damaged, the basketball goals have been torn down, the seating has been damaged and vandalized, the fence has been torn down, and the lighting is not...
