With the quick expansion that has been taking place, the company needs to consolidate its current human resource management strategy so it can stay and continue to be successful.

Acquire or Develop Talent

Tanglewood’s culture and values are distinct from most of its competitors. Acquiring or developing talent depends on the resources available to develop the current employees or the time/financial costs for training and developing new employees. It would be advisable for an internal development strategy to keep the importance of culture and values in tact as well as use their input and contributions in the process for upper level or management positions. If Tanglewood develops talent from within the company it will increase efficiency giving employees the motivation for possible advancement prospects.

For all other associate positions it would be advisable to acquire new talent from the outside market. In most cases external hiring adds more to the diversity of the workforce than internal hiring. Just as in the beginning of the company, training new associates that keep to the mission statement will be beneficial for the company. These new associates need to be personable, have great customer service and be dependable.
