According to Mossler 2013 “When the body burns less energy than it takes in through food and drink it starts to store as access fat.” So if we would like to live a healthy lifestyle we need to find nutritional strategies to avoid this. When it comes to nutrition and exercise there are many different strategies you can try depending on your desired results.

One strategy is eating nutrient dens fruits and vegetables. The fruits and vegetables that are high in nutrients will help you keep up your energy levels and leave you feeling fuller for a longer period of time. Another nutritional strategy one could use is to eat foods rich in Omega 3. Omega 3 rich foods will supply you with the good fat your body needs and can improve mood and thinking.

Exercise strategies are equally important in overall health. “It is clear that you need to restrict calories in your diet to lose weight and exercise to keep it off.” (Karen Asp 2013). Exercise can do many things for the body; it can reduce risk of heart disease, heighten mental sharpness, and can even boost your libido.

One strategy is to get involved in some kind of cardio exercise. Cardio includes exercises such as running or biking. “The intensity should vary from moderate to vigorous so that your cardiac capacity without overtaxing your body” (2013) Another exercise strategy is yoga. “Studies have found that “Studies have found that yoga helps to lower your stress and anxiety. It also induces a state of relaxation.”(2013)

All of these strategies together make up my personal lifestyle plan. I eat six small meals a day that are usually made up of dark leafy greens like spinach or Kale, fruit such as bananas and blueberries, and Omega 3 rich foods like Salmon and Tuna. I choose to get most of my daily carbs through fruits and vegetables. Some fruits and vegetables that are high in carbohydrates are bananas, pineapple, carrots and corn.
