Longer Life with Healthy Eating

There may be many reasons that contribute to an unhealthy civilization in the world today. One major factor for the cause of people’s health is nutrition. What people consume plays a big role in a person’s health. People need to be aware of the major health risk involved in what is being consumed every day. From obesity, to diabetes, there are serious factors to consider when eating. By eating more natural foods rather than processed foods can contribute to a healthier life. Many “junk” foods can lead to a bad habit that can be carried on to children. Even though healthier foods are more expensive than junk food, healthy eating increases the human lifespan by reducing the risk of illness.

Cardiovascular disease

A big increase in cardio vascular disease in the world today is caused by what is in a person’s diet. By eating healthier foods one can avoid many complications of heart problems. There is a growing number of cardiovascular patients in America. If people could improve their eating habits by eating healthier foods rather than high cholesterol foods, the number of heart attacks would drop in America. “Eating at least five servings of fruit and vegetables a day, and limiting a person’s salt intake to less than one teaspoon a day, also helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes”(http://www.who.int/nmh/publications/fact_sheet_cardiovascular_en.pdf).
