Importance of not being late and the effect it has on the Pac section

It is important to be on time because it is unprofessional to be late. The Army is now focused on being a professional organization and cannot be considered professional if its soldiers cannot be at the given place of duty at the time given. On top of being unprofessional it causes a rift in the daily duties and task distribution. If a soldier fails to be on time, the soldier’s non commissioned officer then has to try and locate the missing soldier. Meaning the non commissioned officer is then away from the work place trying to find out why the soldier is not at the given place of duty. Causing the work flow to either become harder on the other soldiers in the section or just less time to accomplish that day’s goals and work. It is also important to be on time because of accountability issues. Being oversees and technically in an active war zone. It is important and the job of the none commissioned officer to have accountability of their soldiers. If a soldier is late and asked for by higher ups and the non commissioned officer has no clue due to the fact that soldier is not at work and no contact has succeeded. Then that noncommissioned officer could be looked down upon and not be seen as a successful noncommissioned officer.

The effects of being late and the problems it causes the PAC section due to me being late. When I am late not only does my noncommissioned officer worry about me and my wear bouts but also I will miss morning meetings. These are essential for the success of the day’s important tasks and also for helping me to see what is extremely important to get done and what could possibly wait to get done the following day. Also it if certain tasks that I would normally do are really hot it then forces the non commissioned officer or the other Pac clerks to pick up the slack and do those tasks for me.
