Leadership Theories

There are three Major theories which have a positive bearing with leaderships and how people choose to behave. These three theories include the trait theory, the great man theory and lastly the role theory. To begin with, the role theory points out that people will be able to behave better when they have their different roles are set out in order that they may fulfill those specified orders. The specified orders are given by the managers and what they mainly want to achieve is the clarity of ideas and the congruence of all the activities in an organization hence avoiding confusion.

The trait theory has proposes that all leaders have inborn features and characteristics that no one gets unless they have been born with the traits. Some of these traits include honesty integrity among others. Lastly is the great man theory which supposes that specific people were born with inept characteristics become great leaders in the course of their lives. Without the proper application of these theories in an organization, there is a high probability that the organisations will fail. However, proper application of the same will lead the companies to do exploits.

First and foremost, a leader can use these theories to better influence and reward individuals on an organization. The rewards can be given to teams of co-workers or to individual persons in the company who exhibit great results. There are also various examples of how a leader can use the theories as strategies to lead in work environments as well as in communities. First and foremost the role theory is very applicable to the topic of rewarding well performing individuals and groups.
