Qt 1. A friend suggests that organizational behavior courses are useful only to people who will enter management careers. Discuss the accuracy of your friend’s statement.

1. Organizational behavior courses are not for those who are going to be managers. They will benefit you as an individual. The theories behind OB help you make sense of the work place. OB provides knowledge and tools to work with others and get work done. OB also has an effect on an organization’s financial health, where it is giving employees incentives to work harder or rewards for completing the company’s goals. These are some of the main reasons why OB is not just for managers.

3. Although these items such as digging and ore processing equipment and land are essential to the business, organizational learning is just as important. It is important because it is what drives competitive advantage. A firm’s effectiveness sometimes relies on a person’s knowledge and understanding of learning. If the knowledge is not there on how to run the machines or where to locate such minerals for mining, they would be of no use to us.

5. Corporate social responsibility is one of the hottest issues in corporate boardrooms these days, partly because it is becoming increasingly important to employees and other stakeholders. In your opinion, why have stake-holders given CSR more attention recently? Does abiding by CSR standards potentially cause companies to have conflicting objectives with some stakeholders in some situations?
