Subject: Recommendations on Kafka Publishing House’s business model changes.
C1-team was assigned by Department of Strategic Planning of Kafka Publishing House to make recommendation on how the publisher’s business model should change to adapt to the changing marketplace.
Our conclusions and recommendations are attached to this email.
Our major findings relate to the performances of three crucial operational departments: Editorial, Marketing, and Information Technology. We also recommend the following changes:
1. Assign Marketing department a strategic role
2. Reconstruct editorial tasks and working condition
3. Increase investment on IT
We believe that these three recommendations will be helpful in making long-term decisions. We hope you will make comments on our findings on the next department meeting on November 21th, 2011.
