Determining the Perfect Position
Leaders guide others in an organization to perform and achieve common goals. Leaders have different traits, behaviors, and attributes that define individual leadership styles. An organization depends on leaders to empower, guide, and set an example for others. Managers may not always be the best fit in a company because of leadership styles or job duties. Kocher Industries made changes to the organization and created a management position within the organization. To fill the position with an effective leader, managers need to identify the necessary traits and attributes and consider the individual leadership styles that prospects have to offer. The person who fills the manager position within the company has to have the same attributes the company desires and sees as a positive fit within the organization.
Company Background
Kocher Industries manufactures flexible cutting dies in Lenexa, KS. The company has other facilities in Georgia, Germany, and New Zealand. Kocher Industries employees are intelligent, driven, and personable. The company currently employs four customer service representatives that cover specific territories throughout the world. Each person is responsible for maintaining, updating, and taking care of accounts daily by entering orders, answering inquiries, and strengthening communication lines with customers. The office is in need of a manager to oversee representatives and assist with technical matters. Kocher Industries offers competitive pay, benefits, incentives, and a flexible schedule.
