Animals a Part of Our Family is a unique program that is designed to help prevent and stop animal cruelty. Animals a Part of Our Family is a program that will work in conjunction with the ASPCA and will be set up by their guidelines. It’s an educational program geared towards adults and children. Animals a Part of Our Family will teach community members about the signs of abuse, how to report it, and who to work with. The program will work with all animal owners and non owners, as well as the shelters, pet stores, breeders, and humane societies. The program will be run as a community day one weekend a month so those who want to come out and join us can. This program will be set up so everyone learns what they need to know about saving our animals because they are a part of our family.

The program will be set up as a community event that will run one weekend a month usually at the beginning of the month. The second week of the month we will be meeting with more under privileged children from the cities, so the can learn more about having a pet and how it should be treated. The reason to work with our younger generations is to show them that their behavior can affect their adult life. This is based off of studies that link animal abuse with abusive adults. The program feels that by doing this we can help show these children and young adults that the things they see around them are not always correct. Animals a Part of Our Family will also show them what they can do to help. Teaching everyone that they can help stop this awful thing from happening will be the greatest benefit they can have. There are thousands of pets that are mistreated on a daily basis and it needs to stop. The only way that this can happen is if we start standing up for our animals, whether they are ours or someone else’s.
