Smart grids differ from current electricity infrastructure in the United States because the existing electricity in U.S is outdated and inefficient. How ever, the current electricity grids offers a few ways to handle power provided by alternative energy sources which important sources to go green.

What people, organization, and technology issues should be considered when developing a smart grid? the people that should be considered is us some smart city participants reported that the dashboard they use to manage their appliances is to high tech and confusing.Also,consumer advocates have vowed to fight smart grids if they boost the rates for customers who are unable or unwilling to use web portals and allow energy companies to control aspects of their appliances. Organizations will have to spend large amounts of money to put this in play and charge their customers $3-5 more. The technology issues no privacy.

What challenge to the development of smart grids do you think is most likely to hamper their development? that consumers feel that it’s unnecessary to have an expensive meter to turn down an air conditioner and shuts some lights off. They feel they can do that on their own.

What other areas of our infrastructure could benefit from smart technologies? Another area I believe that could benefit from smart technologies is health care where people can have their doctors appointments from the comfort of their own home by video chat and something that can check their blood pressure and other minor things from home.

would you like your home and your community to be part of a smart grid? why or why not? No, I would not want my community to be part of a smart grid because its bad enough people assistance the bills they have now. How are they going to afford the new increase and plus it will invade the little privacy we have left.
