The choice in leaders to compare and contrast will be the leadership style of the most controversial and mild leaders within the African American community. The two leaders that I will attempt to contrast, and compare is Malcolm X’s rugged style with the mild mannered style of Martin Luther King, Jr. this research paper will seek out both of their leadership styles, so we can know just how much they are different as well as alike in their individual lives. This research paper will take you through the proud and sad moments before both of their unfortunate demise.

Both of these individuals made a tremendous impact not only on the African American community but on America as a whole. Although their views were different from one another, both of these perspectives stemmed from the same purpose; equality. These two men had power where they themselves might not have thought to have such great power and influence on the American people. The first week of class it was stated, would you go to war with me. My answer for both of these amazing human beings, I would fight side by side to death for both of these great men.

In trying to seek out the things that we heard about in school and something’s that are not in text books, I want to be able to make you imagine that you were a part of the struggle. I want to be able to show you the impact these two leaders had while they were living, as well as the impact they have in death, showing that the struggles and the triumphs of their hard work in still ongoing and visible today. This paper will take you into the folds of greatness.
