Synergy Solutions Introduction and targets

Synergy Solution is a $6 million company concentrating in business of systems integration. It specializes in assembling and reselling leading computer brands. Currently it has 300 employees of which a majority is in sales and services departments. Synergy Solution is located in 5 different places in the East coast. Currently networking solution business accounts 20% of the company’s revenues. However, the new strategy implementation will be used to raise it until 80%. The company decided to set quarterly growth targets for revenue and measures of employees involvement in organizational strategy changes. Targets of the next quarter are as follows: revenue increase by $7.5 million; productivity growth – 4%, absenteeism rate – 2% and proportion of networking solutions sales – 35%.

Internal and external forces of a change

Some internal forces of change that should be taken into account are the need to increase productivity in order to become and remain more competitive, the current high level of absenteeism and the desire to increase the company’s market share and profitability in Networking Solutions.

External forces to consider are the stagnation in the Systems Integration market, the competitive job market (witnessed by the circumstance that already during the project, some talented people got job offers elsewhere) as well as the circumstance that the company is entering a market of solutions providers, which have different characteristics then the Systems Integration market in which they were competing before.
