We all are at a loss for words over the sudden and unexpected resignation of our Chief Financial Officer. Issues such as the one at hand are times that make my job as public relations coordinator extremely tedious. It is in my best intentions of handling this issue in a way that gives all respect to the customers, stakeholders, and our company. Any small hiccup in handling this issue could mean danger for Friendship Bank’s future. We work for a company that has always prided itself upon honesty and trusting relationship. If we work together and follow all the rules we can keep that reputation and continue serving the communities without any delay.
First, I want to outline what our company is legally required to do. Since we are a public corporation and we operate partially due to stakeholders investments, it is our obligation to inform our stakeholders and customer of any changes that occur within the company. Whether information is bad or good, failure to inform our customers could result in loss of trust. Honesty is what we have built this business on and that is what we need to continue to give if we want to successfully survive this setback. Unfortunately, there are already rumors that the reason for the sudden resignation of our CFO is due to possible unjust documentation of revenue. Since this is an ongoing investigation of SEC, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, we are not obligated at this time to release the reason of the resignation.
