Global Warming: Fact or Fiction

Dear congressmen, honorable representatives and servants of this great nation, I stand today before you as a United States citizen, but for and foremost as a human being with conscience that our world is facing a dangerous crisis which is Global Warming.

I know that the term has been heard, but rarely discussed. Global Warming is rather a fact than a fiction and it is very important that we all understand that it is a serious matter that concerns the whole wide world.

The term Global Warming defines only the fact that the overall earth temperature is increasing causing some irremediable catastrophes to the world and its citizen. I am talking about seisms, inundations to cite a few.

My goal today is to awake our human consciences through the bill that I am presenting to you today, and ask ourselves what sacrifices can we make today to make tomorrow better for us , and for the generation to come. I know that many debates and arguments have been made around this particular matter, and today I would like to explain why I am giving my voice to this bill.

As you noticed over the past years many regions of the world are experiencing natural catastrophes caused by global warming with very bad consequences for economies and social living. Global Warming is a slow, but very destructive process. As the temperature of the earth rises our climates changes brutally having effects on humans (death, diseases, etc) and animals (extinction of species). Unfortunately we are the main responsible of this situation. Yet it is good to live in big industrialized countries, but it is worth sacrificing life of millions for more effective technology, faster cars, and bigger building. Excuse my sarcasm, but if no one is there to use all this what a waist! America is one of the most polluted countries in the world and ironically one of the most powerful. Therefore...
